This guide provides all the essential information on customizing templates.
Please follow the steps below:
Step 1: Log in to your Shopify account.
Step 2: Go to your Shopify store’s “Apps” section and select Easy Invoice+. You will be automatically redirected to the app dashboard.
Step 3: Click on the “Design” on the left side panel of Easy Invoice+.
Step 4: Click on the “Document Type” you want to start customizing. There are eight document types you can customize:
- Invoice
- Draft
- Credit Note
- Packing Slip
- Return Label
- Shipping Label
- Custom Invoice
- Pro Forma Invoice
Step 5: On the “Design” screen, a preview of the selected template will be displayed. You can change the default template by clicking the “Change Primary Template” button.
There are six templates to choose from:
- Simplex
- Stripe
- Clipper
- Trigon
- Typewriter
- Drag & Drop (Only for Advanced and Enterprise Plans)
Step 6: After selecting the Template Design, a preview of the selected template will be visible on the right side of the screen. There are five main sections listed for configuration on the left side. General and Data Fields sections are used for customizing the templates.
Template customization is simple, as all text fields are inline-editable. You can click on any text to modify it.
General
You have three customization sections under the “General” section.
Design
Under the “Design” section, you can change the settings below:
- Logo: You can add or change your logo.
- Logo Size: You can adjust your logo size.
- Font Name: You can change your font, as Easy Invoice+ uses Google Fonts. If you want to add a different font, please create a support ticket from the Easy Invoice+ dashboard by clicking the “Support” button or send an email to support@softify.co.
- Primary Template Color: You can customize your template’s color by selecting from the predefined options or entering a HEX code for a specific color.
- Text Color: You can customize the text color of your template by choosing from the predefined options or entering a HEX code for a specific color.
- Text Font Size: You can adjust the text font size, measured in pixels.
- Caption Font Size: You can adjust the text font size, measured in pixels.
- How to Display Variants?: You can customize how variants are displayed, with three options to choose from: “Single Line,” “Multiple Line,” and “Don’t Display.”
- How to Display Product Images?: You can customize how product images are displayed, with four options to choose from: “Small,” “Medium,” “Large,” and “Don’t Display.”
Localization
Under the “Localization” section, you can change the settings below:
- Date Format: You can customize the date format by selecting from twelve different options.
- Time Format: You can change the time format by selecting “AM/PM”, “24-Hour”, or “Don’t Display”.
- Address Format: You can customize the address format by selecting either a country-specific or international format. If you can’t find the country you’re looking for, you can choose the “Custom” option to create an address format tailored to your country.
- Document File Extension: You can change the extension type by selecting “PDF” or “HTML”.
- Display Currency: You can choose to show or hide the currency.
- Currency Format: You can change the currency format by selecting from six different currency formats.
- Currency Conversion Method: You can change the currency conversion method by selecting from five options such as:
- Passive
- Shopify Native Currency
- Bold Multi-Currency
- Coin Currency Converter
- Currency Converter+
If you’re using Shopify’s native multi-currency functionality, no further action is needed. If you are using a third-party app for currency conversion, please select the app and click here to follow our guide to complete the setup for multi-currency invoices.
Social Media
You can choose to show or hide and add URLs for social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, and LinkedIn.
Data Fields
You have three customization sections under the “Data Fields” section.
Product Data Fields
Under the “Product Data Fields” section, you can show or hide these data:
- SKU
- Vendor
- Barcode
- Hs Code
- Country of Origin
- Weight
- Fulfillment Status
- Quantity
- TAX
- Unit Price
- Total Price
- Discounted Price
Order Data Fields
Under the “Order Data Fields” section, you can show or hide these data:
- Shipping Information
- Billing Information
- Customer Information
- Order Date
- Order Number
- Order Note
- Order Tip
- Shipping Carrier
- Cancellation Message
- Discount Line
- Sub Total Line
- Shipping Line
- Tax Line
- Combined Tax View
- Refunds
- Total Paid Line
- Paid & Amount Due Line
Terms and Conditions
Under the “Terms and Conditions” section, you can show or hide the data below:
- Issue Date
- Due Date
- Payment Gateway
- Credit Card Number
- Payment Terms
Step 7: After making the necessary changes, click on the “Save Changes” button in the top right corner.
Step 8: After saving the changes, you can click the print, download, or send buttons to view the final result.
Note: To make changes to other templates, click the “Change Template” button and select the desired template in the upper right corner. Note that options may vary depending on the document or template type.
