This guide provides all the essential information for adding extra details to your invoices.
You can add extra information to your invoices using metafields. There are three available options:
1. Shopify Metafields: You can use Shopify Metafields to include additional information on your invoices. For more details, please refer to Shopify’s Official Guide.
2. Metafield Apps: You can use a metafield app from the Shopify App Store. Click here to explore available apps.
3. Easy Invoice+ Order Metafields: You can use Easy Invoice+’s Order Metafields to add up to three additional pieces of information to your invoices directly from the “Orders” section.
Please follow the steps below:
Step 1: Log in to your Shopify account.
Step 2: Navigate to the ‘Apps’ section of your Shopify store, and click on Easy Invoice+. You will be automatically redirected to the app dashboard.
Step 3: Click the “Order” button on the left side of the dashboard.
Step 4: Select one of the orders.
Step 5: Click the “Order Metafields” button on the right side of the dashboard or scroll down to the “Order Metafields” section.
Step 6: Fill in the necessary Key and Value sections. You have 3 meta fields to fill.
Step 7: After filling in the necessary fields, click the “Save Changes” button.
Step 8: You can now print, download, or send the invoice with the meta fields you added.

If you are using a “ready to use” template, your data will be automatically printed on your documents. If you are using a “drag&drop” template, you need to drag and drop the “Meta Data” container on your template manually.
You can add meta fields to the Drag&Drop template by following the steps below:
- On the Easy Invoice+ dashboard, click on “Invoice” under “Design”.
- Click the “Order Data Fields”.
- Click on the “Horizontal” or “Vertical” buttons near “Order Metafield 1 – 3” (according to how many you wish to add)
- After positioning the metafield boxes in the desired area on the invoice, click the ‘Save Changes’ button.
