How to add extra information to my invoices?

This guide provides all the essential information on adding extra details to your invoices.

You can include additional information on your invoices using metafields. There are three available options:

  1. Shopify Metafields
    Use Shopify’s native metafields to display additional data. For setup instructions, refer to Shopify’s official guide.

  2. Metafield Apps
    Use a third-party metafield app available on the Shopify App Store to manage and apply additional metafield content.

  3. Easy Invoice+ Order Metafields
    Add up to three custom fields directly within Easy Invoice+ from the Orders section. These fields allow you to include specific details per order without editing Shopify metafields.

Note:
Order metafields created in Easy Invoice+ do not reflect the metafields configured in Shopify Admin. If you need to display Shopify-native metafields on your invoice templates, please contact our support team via the Help Center in the app.

How to Add Easy Invoice+ Order Metafields

Step 1: Log in to your Shopify account.

Step 2: Navigate to the Apps section of your Shopify store and select Easy Invoice+. You will be automatically redirected to the app dashboard.

Step 3: Click on the Orders tab.

Step 4: Select the order you want to update by clicking on its order number.

Step 5: Scroll down to the Order Metafields section.

Step 6: Enter the values for the Key and Value fields. You can define up to three metafields.

Step 7: Once you’ve made your selection, click the Save button at the top center of the screen to apply your changes.

If you’re using a Ready-to-Use template, the metafield data will automatically appear on your document.

If you’re using a Drag & Drop template, you’ll need to manually add metafield containers to the design.

  • From the dashboard, click on Template Design.

  • Click on Order Data Fields.
  • Choose Horizontal or Vertical layout depending on how you want the metafields displayed (e.g., side by side or stacked).
  • Drag and drop the Order Metafield 1–3 containers to the desired location on your template, and click Save Changes to finalize your template.
