This guide is designed to provide you with all the necessary information about making a donation per order.
Please follow these steps,
Step 1: Log in to your Shopify account
Step 2: Click on the “Apps” section of your Shopify store and click on One Tree Planted at Checkout. One Tree Planted at Checkout will automatically redirect you to the app dashboard.
Step 3: Go to “Settings” on the left side panel
Step 4: Go to “Account Settings” under the Donation Settings, Change the “Charge Type” dropdown to “Store Owner”
Step 5: On the “Account Settings” section, by default, The Donation Method is set to “Per Order”. If not, Change the “Donation Method” dropdown to “Per Order”
Step 6: After changing the “Donation Method” dropdown, Change the “Tree Amount” to the tree amount you want to plant with each order
Step 7: After changing the “Tree Amount” dropdown, Change the “Let your customers add trees to their carts” dropdown to “On”
Step 8: After changing the “Let your customers add trees to their carts” dropdown, Change the “Do you want the trees to be added to your customer’s shopping cart automatically?” dropdown to “On”
Important note: After you make these changes, for best practice, please Enable the Popup or the Widget and Change the Content in order to let know customers know about their contribution through their orders.
Step 9: After making the necessary changes, click the “Save Changes” button on the top right side of the screen
